What is a RAID 0?
RAID 0 is a striped Disk Array without any fault tolerance. This setup provides data striping (spreading out blocks of each file across multiple disk drives) but no redundancy. This improves performance but does not deliver fault tolerance. If one drive fails, then all data in the array is lost. We have extensive experience dealing with RAID 0 issues and have a very high success rate in recovering data from failed RAID 0 setups.
What to do when your RAID 0 fails
- Don’t panic
- Turn off the affected system and unplug it from the power socket
- Don’t try to rebuild or reinitialize the failed RAID
- Do not run FSCK on your RAID
- Do not run CHKDSK on your RAID
- Contact us right away
Common RAID 0 Failures
- RAID Drive Failure
- RAID Controller Failure
- RAID Array Corrupted
- RAID Configuration Lost
- RAID Degradation

Simply bring your faulty RAID array (with its original enclosure) to the team at Technetics for a free inspection. We’ll then assess your RAID server so we can let you know whether your data can be recovered and how much it will cost.
Yes, in many instances you can recover data from a dead RAID drive. However, it can be tricky and is best left to the professionals. Unlike normal drives, the data from RAID hard drives can’t be recovered independently. Instead, the RAID configuration must be rebuilt or reconstructed in order to retrieve the lost data.

This will vary depending on the complexity of the job. After conducting a free inspection of your RAID array, Technetics will provide an obligation-free quote within 24-48 hours.
While we always strive to recover your data and get it back to you as quickly as possible, this process can take some time depending on what went wrong in the first place.
